Mrs. Sallie N. Kern, 71, of 20 North St., died suddenly last Thursday morning of a heart attack at her home. Born in Washington township, Lehigh county, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Mary (Jones) Rex. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church,
town.
She is survived by her husband Albert D. Kern; one daughter, Bertha, wife of Samuel H. Horn, Bethlehem, R. 2; five sons; Walter, of Danielsville; Benjamin and Ervin, of town; Ralph of Slatington R. 1, and Earl, at home.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three brothers, Calvin and Henry Rex, of town and Ralph Rex, Slatington R. 2, and two sisters, Mrs. Loveine Roth, of Alletown, and Mrs. George Wagner, Bethlehem.
